The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) updated the Air Reporting System (ARS), a web-based program used by facilities to submit Emissions Inventory (EI) and EI Certification or an Under-Thresholds-Notification (UTN). The updates aim to improve the user experience and provide an opportunity for the DNR to offer more user-friendly tools to their customers. All updates are available for the 2025 reporting season, for reporting calendar year 2024 data.
The DNR will host a webinar on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. to provide reminders on existing resources, orient attendees to new resources, bring awareness to noteworthy events and highlight ARS updates. This is an opportunity for ARS users to view the system updates and ask any questions prior to reporting season.
Register for the webinar.
The 2025 reporting season ARS updates include:
- Consolidation of the ARS submittal receipt email with the email notification that the EI may be certified.
- Consolidation of redundant ARS and DNR internal system stack parameter data. The system now defers to the ARS data.
- Retention of each submitted EI and EI Certification instead of the most recent of each.
- Addition of email receipts for EI Certifications and UTNs received by the DNR in the mail.
- ARS text updates to assist with the setup of new devices and help clarify other points to avoid user confusion.
- Minor updates to the EI report format.
