Air Management Announces New Air Quality Planning And Standards Section Chief

Brianna Dank is the new Air Management Program AQPS section chief as of Monday, July 17. Brianna started with the program as a policy analyst in 2018. In 2020, she became the air policy coordinator in the AQPS section. In her five years with the program, Brianna has been closely involved in developing the program’s ozone strategy, reviewing and implementing federal rules, coordinating multi-state technical and policy discussions through the Lake Michigan Air Directors Consortium (LADCO), and developing state implementation plan submittals.

Prior to joining the DNR, Brianna received her Masters of Science degree in science, technology and environmental policy from the Humphry School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and worked for five years as a technical consultant for various industrial manufacturing companies around the country.
