Ryan grew up near Hayward, Wis. He received his Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering at UW-Madison in 2011. Will Disser, New Water Management Engineer for the South Central Region – Fitchburg Office – Started February 28, 2022
Meet Will Disser, whose favorite park is Interstate State Park.
Will graduated from Georgia Tech in 2018 with a degree in environmental engineering. Will started his career with the State of Michigan, where he spent three years as an engineer and regulator in their Drinking Water Program. While working with drinking water, he reviewed permits for new water infrastructure and conducted water treatment plant inspections. He also worked with numerous municipalities and private entities across southeast Michigan to enforce the Safe Drinking Water Act and help the municipalities meet EPA reporting requirements. Will found the work challenging and rewarding but was looking to a return to his interests in floodplains and hydrology.
Will has had a chance to see a lot of the United States and has lived in seven states: Indiana, Florida, Washington, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Georgia and Michigan. He lived in Middleton, Wis. about ten years ago, and Wisconsin felt like home, so he is very happy to be back! Will loves to explore nature trails or get lost in a good book, and he is looking forward to getting local recommendations for both. So far, Interstate State Park is one of his favorites.
