Over the course of 2019, the Wisconsin DNR hazardous waste program is hosting a series of webinars to provide regulatory information and best management practices for managing hazardous waste.
The third webinar is scheduled for Sept. 11 from 1-2 p.m. CDT and will focus on the Generator Improvement Rules, including:
- Reorganization
- Consolidation of CESQG Waste at LQGs
- Episodic Generation
- Emergency Planning and Preparedness
- Hazardous Waste Determinations
- Labeling
- Reporting
- Satellite Accumulation Areas
- Waiver to 50-foot Requirement
- Closure

The final 2019 webinar, scheduled for Dec. 11, will cover adoption of the federal EPA Definition of Solid Waste Rule, including discussion on hazardous secondary material (HSM) management.
On September 4, 2019, from 1-2 pm CDT, the National Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (NSBEAP) will host a webinar where the U.S. EPA will provide an overview of the Surface Coating regulatory rules. This webinar is for small businesses to hear what the rules are addressing, who will be impacted, and the nature of those impacts.
