Public comment period open for hazardous waste rule revisions

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is currently developing revisions to the hazardous waste regulations and is seeking input on the estimated economic impacts of these proposed rule revisions.

The DNR has developed a draft economic impact analysis to solicit any additional information or advice on the economic effect of the proposed rules. Note that a separate public comment period on the rule itself will be held after the economic impact analysis has been finalized.

Materials for review are available on the DNR's website under rule number WA-06-17. Comments will be accepted from April 9 to May 9, 2019, and may be emailed to Ruth.Odonnell@wisconsin.gov.

Proposed permanent natural resources rules

The proposed rules would incorporate into state law changes made by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to federal hazardous waste regulations to the extent allowed by state law, and are summarized below in order of their publication in the Federal Register:
