Hunting for local sustainable food

The Department of Natural Resources began offering Adult Learn to Hunt for Food courses in 2012 and the number of course attendees has been growing each year. Read all about this program and how you can be a student or mentor in an upcoming course in the next issue of WNR magazine.

New Horicon Marsh exhibits Starting in August 2015, the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center will open a new series of interactive and educational displays including a walk-through glacier, woolly mammoth and exhibits showing the marsh’s human history through the ages. Historic DNR images In the August 2015 issue, WNR magazine highlights an ongoing project to digitize 2,200 historic DNR images from the early 1900s through the 1970s.
