Free Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Awareness Training

This message is being sent to infection preventionists, local public health department nurses and staff, local public health officers, Tribal health directors, Wisconsin National Healthcare Safety Network users, and Division of Quality Assurance: Notifications and Updates subscribers. 

An 8-hour ICRA Awareness training course is being offered by the Northern Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters. Attendees will learn how to protect patients and staff during construction in occupied health care facilities by recognizing how contaminants spread and implementing proper procedures to contain infectious agents. Attendees will also learn about the importance of containing pathogens, controlling airflow, and recognizing and properly disposing of hazardous materials.

Infection preventionists and other health care personnel such as directors of nursing, environmental services staff, facility maintenance staff, as well as local and Tribal health department staff are encouraged to attend.

There is no cost to attend this training. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
