Assisted Living Initial Licensing - Live Q & A Session - March 17, 2026

As part of the Division’s commitment to Teach, Learn and Collaborate, the Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) launched the DHS DQA Provider Portal, an online system for licensure/certification, background checks, applications, renewals, and certification amendments in December 2025.

Please join DQA staff on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. for an overview of the DHS DQA Provider Portal and how to navigate the assisted living licensing process. Assisted living providers, prospective providers, and applicants are encouraged to attend.

This session for DQA providers will include:

  • An overview of how to access and navigate the portal.
  • How to set up an entity, facility and authorized representative in the portal.
  • How to apply for licensure/certification through the portal.
  • General questions regarding Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs), Adult Family Homes (AFHs) and Residential Care Apartment Complexes (RCACs) application materials.
