December Vaccines for Children (VFC) Open Forum and Program Updates
This message is being sent to Vaccines for Children (VFC) providers, local health officers, Tribal health directors, and Immunization Program staff.
VFC open forum December 3, 2025
The Vaccines for Children Program (VFC) and the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) units will hold an open forum session to give you an opportunity to ask questions that you may have about VFC, vaccine ordering, WIR, WIR reports, and more. After the presentation there will be open Q&A.
This session is scheduled for December 3, 2025, from 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

Participation is not required but is being offered as another tool for you to connect with VFC and WIR staff from the Immunization Program.
These open forum sessions are held once a month. Please save the following dates for future VFC open forums:
- January 7, 2026, 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
- February 4, 2026, 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

COVID-19 vaccine webinar
Join the Immunization Program on Tuesday, December 9 from noon to 1 p.m. for a 2025-2026 COVID-19 Vaccine Nuts and Bolts webinar. We will discuss the current COVID-19 recommendations for all populations in addition to current coverage and the latest information on the benefits of staying up to date on COVID-19 vaccines for everyone.

VFC holiday shipping
All VFC providers must provide any seasonal changes in office hours in WIR to assure deliveries will be made when the facility is open.
Please check your vaccine inventory and ensure you have sufficient vaccine (a four week inventory is suggested) to meet your needs given the ordering blackouts and limited shipping noted below.
November
There will be no deliveries on November 27, 2025, and November 28, 2025.
December
Orders received in WIR after December 10, 2025, may not ship until after January 5, 2026. There will be limited deliveries beginning December 22, 2025. Regular deliveries will resume January 5, 2026.
January
There will be no deliveries on January 19, 2026, due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
FluMist replacement
The FluMist replacement program for product received through the VFC program allows for the replacement of unused, expiring FluMist doses at no cost. If you would like to take advantage of this program, please refer to the CDC 2025-26 FluMist Replacement Program instructions.
Requests can be made directly to the CDC FluMist Replacement Program from Monday, December 1, 2025, through Friday, January 30, 2026.
