VFC open forum November 5, 2025

The Vaccines for Children Program (VFC) and the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) units will hold an open forum session to give you an opportunity to ask questions that you may have about VFC, vaccine ordering, WIR, WIR reports, and more. After the presentation there will be open Q&A.

This session is scheduled for November 5, 2025, from 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

Join via zoom

Please note this is the same link as last month.  We will use this link going forward.

Participation is not required but is being offered as another tool for you to connect with VFC and WIR staff from the Immunization Program.

These open forum sessions are held once a month. Please save the following dates for future VFC open forums:

  • December 3, 2025, 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
  • January 7, 2026, 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Respiratory vaccine ordering

RSV immunization

Beyfortus, the RSV monoclonal antibody, should be administered from October through March. Similar to last year, Beyfortus is available in 50 mg or 100 mg presentations, in five dose packages. Beyfortus is available to order through WIR.

Abrysvo, the RSV vaccine, should be administered to pregnant people from September through March. Abrysvo is available to order through WIR, for those that serve an eligible population.

For more information see the DHS flyer Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Protection for Infants.

COVID-19 vaccine

The following vaccines are available in WIR:

  • SPIKEVAX 12+ (Moderna)
  • SPIKEVAX 6M-11Y (Moderna)
  • COMIRNATY 12+ (Pfizer)
  • COMIRNATY 5Y-11Y (Pfizer)
  • NUVAXOVID (Novavax)

The CDC and DHS recommend the COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 6 months and older.

As a reminder, all VFC providers are expected to carry all vaccines for the population they serve as a condition of being a VFC provider, including RSV and COVID-19 vaccine.

Influenza vaccine

Influenza vaccine continues to ship. Please be sure to accept your transfers when you receive your orders in WIR.

If you have received your complete order and are in need of additional doses for VFC eligible children, you can send in a request to VFC@WI.gov. Include your VFC PIN, the vaccine type you would like, and the number of doses.
