Vaccines for Children (VFC) Open Forum October 1, 2025, and Program Updates
This message is being sent to Vaccines for Children (VFC) providers, local health officers, Tribal health directors, and Immunization Program staff.
VFC open forum October 1, 2025
The Vaccines for Children Program (VFC) and the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) units will hold an open forum session to give you an opportunity to ask questions that you may have about VFC, vaccine ordering, WIR, WIR reports, and more. After the presentation there will be open Q&A.
This session is scheduled for October 1, 2025, from 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

Participation is not required but is being offered as another tool for you to connect with VFC and WIR staff from the Immunization Program.
These open forum sessions are held once a month. Please save the following dates for future VFC Open Forums:
- November 5, 2025, 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
- December 3, 2025, 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
RSV immunization ordering
Beyfortus, the RSV monoclonal antibody, should be administered from October through March. Similar to last year, Beyfortus is available in 50 mg or 100 mg presentations, in five dose packages. Ordering opened on August 4, to ensure providers have sufficient stock to start vaccination on October 1.
Abrysvo, the RSV vaccine, should be should be administered to pregnant people from from September through March. Abrysvo is available to order through WIR for those that serve an eligible population.
Per the VFC requirements, it is an expectation that all providers that serve the eligible population will have RSV immunizations available throughout the RSV season.

New vaccines
As of October 3, 2025, the following vaccines will be available to order in WIR for the Vaccines for Children program.
- Penmenvy (Meningococcal Groups A,B,C,W and Y Vaccine) produced by GSK.
- Enflonsia (clesrovimab) is the newest RSV monoclonal antibody product for infants, produced by Merck. For more information see the the patient information or the prescribing information.
Influenza vaccine
Influenza vaccine continues to ship. Please be sure to accept your transfers when you receive your orders in WIR.
If you have received your complete order and are in need of additional doses for VFC eligible children, you can send in a request to VFC@WI.gov. Include your VFC PIN, the vaccine type you would like, and the number of doses.
