Wisconsin Caregiver Training Project - Fall Virtual Workshop Schedule Now Available!
As part of the Division’s commitment to Teach, Learn and Collaborate, the WI Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Center for Community Development, Engagement and Training (UWO CCDET) are excited to announce that the Fall 2025 Virtual Workshop schedule is now live!
Are you responsible for completing caregiver background checks? Investigating misconduct? Ensuring staff meet continuing education and training requirements? Supporting job satisfaction and improving caregiver retention? If so, these virtual workshops are designed for you. These hands-on sessions are led by experienced CCDET staff, with input from DQA subject matter experts.
Overall feedback from all UWO CCDET virtual workshops shows that, on average, 95% of participants:
- Agree or strongly agree that the training will help them meet regulatory requirements
- Agree or strongly agree that the training was relevant
- Agree or strongly agree that the virtual format was easy to follow

Online Continuing Education Courses for Direct Caregivers – Available Anytime
Waiting for the Fall workshop schedule to begin in September? In the meantime, take advantage of CCDET’s affordable, on-demand training opportunities! These flexible, online courses are available year-round and designed specifically for direct care staff. Complete them all at once or go at your own pace—you’ll have access for six months after registering. Courses currently available:
