Electronic Funds Payments (EFT) for TPA Transition
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is transitioning from Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS) to Gainwell Technologies, the state’s fiscal agent, for Children's Long-Term Support (CLTS) Program prior authorizations (PAs) and claims processing using the ForwardHealth Portal.
Enroll in EFT
If you wish to receive electronic payments to an account of your choosing, you will need to enroll in electronic funds transfer (EFT) with Gainwell in the portal. Your EFT information with WPS will not transfer to Gainwell. If you have EFT with Gainwell under a different program, you will still need to enroll in EFT for CLTS.
If you do not enroll in EFT, you will receive paper checks.
Only a clerk with an EFT role can enroll in EFT via the secure ForwardHealth Provider Portal. Please note that once enrolled, you will not be able to disenroll from EFT to receive paper checks.
There is a two-week EFT processing period from the date you sign up for EFT with Gainwell to receive electronic payments.
