TPA Transition: Portal Access for Subcontracted Support and Service Coordination Agencies

This message is for county waiver agencies (CWAs) who subcontract support and service coordination.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is preparing to transition from Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS) to Gainwell Technologies, the state’s fiscal agent, for Children's Long-Term Support (CLTS) Program prior authorizations (PAs) and claims processing using the ForwardHealth Portal.

CWAs can assign the PA Clerk role access in the secure ForwardHealth Portal to any staff at the subcontracted agency who need to submit PAs. The waiver agency portal admin  can create new user accounts, if applicable, and assign the PA Clerk–CLTS Waiver role to users who complete direct entry PAs and upload PA flat files, under the CWA's organizational ID.
