Spring Workshops are here to meet your training needs!
As part of the Division’s commitment to Teach, Learn and Collaborate, the WI Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Center for Community Development, Engagement and Training (UWO CCDET) would like to help you meet your training needs with virtual workshops scheduled from March to June.
Workshops for Administrators, Managers, Supervisors, Trainers & HR Professionals The Wisconsin Caregiver Project is dedicated to making cost-effective quality education available for providers regulated by DQA. CCDET-led workshops are for staff in DQA-regulated settings who are responsible for carrying out state and federal requirements:

March 18 – Investigating & Reporting Requirements for Federally Certified Providers: Ensure compliance with federal regulations for investigating and reporting allegations of mistreatment in federally certified skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and swing bed hospitals.

March 20 – Setting Your Training Couse: Designed for individuals who are new to the role of ensuring staff training meets regulatory compliance in assisted living, nursing home, home health, and personal care settings.

March 25 – 5 Steps to Caregiver Background Checks: Complete caregiver background checks & evaluate results for all DQA-regulated settings. Includes resources to ensure compliance.

March 27 – Caregivers SOAR! Encouraging Success ~ Opportunity ~ Advancement ~ Retention: Promote job satisfaction and retention among caregivers.

April 10 – Ready, Set, Train - Caregiver Continuing Education: Access and train topic content along with presentation tips for 20 classroom-style presentations plus 6 misconduct prevention videos.

April 22 – Rules of the Road: Important onboarding steps for newly licensed/certified entities seeking to comply with requirements. Includes provider specific administrative requirement quick reference charts for ADC, AFH, CBRF, HHA, Hospice, PCA, & RCAC providers.
