Director of Food and Nutrition Services Certifications
As part of the Division’s commitment to Teach, Learn, and Collaborate, the Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), would like to inform you that the Director of Food and Nutrition Services in a nursing home, requires specific certification to meet both State and Federal regulation requirements. Options include:
- Dietitian
- Holds an associate degree as a Dietetic Technician
- Completes at least a course of study in food service management approved by the Dietary Managers Association or an equivalent program.
We are happy to announce that there are now three courses approved by the Dietary Managers Association or an equivalent program available in Wisconsin:
If your facility needs a qualified Director of Food and Nutrition Services, we encourage you to look at all of the approved courses to see what best fits your program.
