Statewide Public Health Data Infrastructure Assessment (SPHDIA) Updates

We hope this message finds you well. As part of our efforts to gather valuable input for the SPHDIA, we want to share important updates regarding onsite visits and an exciting funding opportunity for Tribal health offices.

Local health departments:
Onsite visits are ending January 31, 2025 and there are a few slots available. If your health department is interested in participating, please reach out to dhsdmiquest@dhs.wisconsin.gov.

For added flexibility, we are offering the option to conduct onsite visits virtually to accommodate your department's needs.

Tribal health offices:
Onsite visits for the Tribal Assessment portion of the Statewide Data Infrastructure Assessment are available now through the end of February 2025.

Please check your email inbox for a communication on determining the best engagement plan for your community.

Important dates to note:

  • Pre-application webinar: Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 1 p.m. CST Registration information below.
  • Application deadline: Friday, January 24, 2025, at 10:59 p.m. CST
  • Project period: Approximately January 31, 2025–July 31, 2025 (six and a half months)

For more information, see the project document from the National Indian Health Board. Tribal nations in Wisconsin would be part of Category B funding as eCRs are delivered through WEDSS.
