The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Public Health (DPH) announces the availability of funds to establish and execute Maternal Medicaid Enrollment Projects. This funding will support existing statewide or local organizations to specifically target the pregnant and postpartum (within 90 days) population to support Medicaid renewals and applications.

The purpose of this program is to reduce maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity by supporting programming that improves maternal health and addresses maternal health disparities through quality services, a skilled workforce, enhanced data quality and capacity, and innovative programming.

Projects can include costs for direct outreach to support Medicaid applications and renewals, social media campaigns, including translation of materials into additional languages to reach populations with highest unmet needs, communications planning, dissemination, and community engagement.
