Initial Licensing Live Q & A Session - Bureau of Assisted Living – November 5, 2024

The Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) is sending this message as part of our commitment to Collaboration, Innovation, and Quality.

The Bureau of Assisted Living (BAL) provides informational videos for prospective providers who are opening a Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF) or an Adult Family Home (AFH). You will learn:

  • How to submit a licensure application, including the Electronic Licensure application process.
  • How to navigate licensing forms and processes.
  • Key elements of CBRF and AFH operations, including program statements and more.

After viewing the videos online, if you have questions about the application process or the initial licensing process, assisted living providers and prospective providers or applicants are invited to attend the Bureau of Assisted Living Initial Licensing Live Q & A Session on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-11:15 a.m.

Specific sessions are listed below:

  • 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Community-Based Residential Facility application process overview
  • 10:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Adult Family Home application process overview

In addition, Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) providers are invited to attend either of the above sessions. During each session, BAL staff will review the e-Licensure program and provide instructions on how to navigate the system.
