Tribal health organizations
Outreach for the Tribal portion of the statewide assessment is expected to begin within the next several weeks. Please stay tuned for further updates.
Local health department (LHD) survey closed
A big thank you goes out to all who took the time to share their data and/or informatics related experiences through the LHD SPHDIA survey.
- Sixty-seven percent participation rate (56 LHDs) with 56% total survey completion (47 LHDs)
- Individual courtesy copies of participating health departments' survey responses have been sent out. Contact dhsdmiquest@dhs.wisconsin.gov if you did not receive yours
- Participating health officers will be receiving an interim analysis via email to gather feedback on key themes identified from free text responses within the survey within the next couple of days. Instructions for providing feedback will be included in that email
- The final report, a deeper analysis of survey data, will be shared with all LHDs in October and/or November
We look forward to engaging more with all of you as we enter the second phase, which will include topical focus groups and onsite visits. Outreach for focus group participation will begin in mid-September, with groups beginning discussions in October. More information on onsite visits can be seen below.
Request for volunteers for local health departments onsite visits
We are seeking volunteers for onsite visits during phase two of the LHD portion of the assessment. These visits are an excellent opportunity for us to collaborate more closely with your team and learn about your unique challenges and successes to inform priorities and future efforts. We expect onsite visits to occur between October 2024–January 2025.
What an onsite visit will include: To inform future systems improvement and integration efforts, it would be helpful to us to observe your current processes in the most natural way possible. We are most interested in watching your workflows that interact with data systems, particularly workflows that interact with multiple systems. We may need to ask questions about the various systems you interact with, and our goal is to not interfere with your day-to-day work.
Selection process: Our goal is to work with a diverse group of sites that represent a range of experiences and needs. We plan to reach out to survey respondents in the coming weeks on your interest and availability. If you did not have a chance to respond to the survey and are interested, please reach out to us at dhsdmiquest@dhs.wisconsin.gov by September 13.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to engage with us directly. We look forward to connecting with you and working together to strengthen our collective efforts.
