Joint Message From WALHDAB and DPH
Data to Action Executive Team Update
This message is being sent to local public health officers and key DPH staff.
Greetings,
As we described in our 7/25 joint update, WALHDAB and DPH have launched the Data to Action Executive Team and we held our first meeting on August 5.
Executive Team Members:
LHO and WALHDAB: Anna Nick, Julie McCallum, Heather Puente, Mike Totoraitis, Janel Heinrich, AZ Snyder, Elizabeth Klasen, Erica Bergstrom, Linda Conlon, Tiffany Giesler, Jamie Michael, Andrew Hoyer-Booth
DPH: Christina Isenring, Huong Nguyen, Traci DeSalvo, Jen Rombalski, Paula Tran, Jacquie Cutts, Lisa Olson
During the meeting, the executive team established a set of working agreements related both to its process and to the rollout of a final data to action report. These agreements will guide the group through challenging questions, and will ensure that the final report is one the executive team can stand behind. Importantly, the group felt that this process should be designed to strengthen the totality of the governmental public health system. It must not create winners and losers among or between health departments.
The group focused the majority of its 90-minute meeting brainstorming possible use cases for the baseline data we all have collected. This process will continue at our next meeting, with a goal of having a final set of instructions for the data experts who sit on the Data to Action subcommittees—the build and design teams—to begin working toward.
We anticipate launching those subcommittees in September, and are recruiting for members now.
DPH members include:
- Design (Comms and framing experts): Amy Perkins, Cecie Culp, Sarah Deering, Amanda Dederich, Kristine Palmer, Angela Whirry-Achten, Christie Reese, Jacquie Cutts, Lisa Olson
- Build (Data experts): Chelsea Robinson, David Strong, Kristen Champion, Jacquie Cutts
WALHDAB will confirm members in the near future.
Please reach out to Lisa Olson, Public Health System Transformation Portfolio Manager, if you’d like learn more and provide input to the process. The next Data to Action Executive Team meeting will be held on August 23.
