Dane/Rock County Measles Case: April 26, 2024 Notification

This message is being sent to Tribal health directors, local heath officers, and key DHS staff.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has confirmed a case of measles in an individual living in Dane County, with travel and employment in Rock County.  

DHS, in coordination with Public Health Madison & Dane County and Rock County Public Health, are working to identify and notify people who may have been exposed to the measles virus as the investigation continues. 

More information about locations of possible exposure will be communicated as it becomes available.  

DHS will be issuing a news release to announce the confirmed case.
