On April 1, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services submitted its plan to the legislature’s Joint Committee on Finance on how to use $36 million in opioid settlement funds to address the state’s opioid epidemic. The annual submission is required under 2021 Wisconsin Act 57.

The plan to the committee was created from feedback provided in a series of town hall meetings, roundtable discussions, and surveys, as well as reviewing data and current successful program, while deciding what is still needed to address the state’s opioid epidemic.
