As part of the Division’s commitment to Collaboration, Innovation and Quality, the WI Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Center for Community Development, Engagement and Training (UWO CCDET) would like to help you meet your training needs this spring!

Workshops for Administrators, Managers & Supervisors

CCDET-led workshops are for staff in DQA-regulated settings who are responsible for carrying out state and federal requirements. To help keep these virtual workshops affordable and accessible, they are partially subsidized by DQA.

Register now for the upcoming Virtual Workshops:

  • March 28 – 5 Steps to Caregiver Background Checks: Completing Checks & evaluating results
  • April 11 – Ready, Set, Train – Caregiver Continuing Education: Meeting state & federal regulations.
  • April 25 – Setting Your Training Course: Navigating the regulations.

On-Demand Courses for Direct Caregivers

On-Demand courses offer anytime online access for direct care staff. These 1-to-2-hour courses can be viewed as time allows and are only $35 each:

  • Addressing Substance Use Disorder & Medication Diversion
  • Caregivers are KEY to Preventing Misconduct
  • Compassion Fatigue in Caregiving
  • Increasing Safety by Preventing Violence
