The University of Wisconsin (UW) Oshkosh Center for Community Development, Engagement and Training (CCDET) and the WI Department of Health Services, Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) are pleased to offer virtual training sessions of the Wisconsin Caregiver Training Project in fall 2023.

Setting Your Training Course: Navigating the Regulations (NEW) – November 1
Learn tips and share resources for meeting continuing education requirements and take away Quick Reference Charts for AFHs, CBRFs, RCACs, home health agencies, nursing homes and personal care agencies.
Continuing Education for Caregivers: Training for Trainers – November 9 or November 28
Learn to access and train content along with presentation tips for a variety of classroom-style topics and misconduct prevention videos. Materials are appropriate for staff continuing education requirements and citation related training needs for providers regulated by DQA.
5 Steps to Caregiver Background Checks – December 7
Tips for individuals responsible for completing caregiver background checks in DQA-regulated facilities.
Investigating and Reporting Allegations of Misconduct – December 12
Ensure that misconduct investigations and reporting meet state and federal regulations for all regulated provider types (includes updated information for nursing homes).
To help keep these workshops affordable and accessible, they are partially subsidized by DQA. You can attend for only $75-$100 and choose between a.m. or p.m. sessions in most cases. Workshops are facilitated by experienced CCDET trainers and attended by DQA subject matter experts. Space is limited and workshops fill quickly so be sure to register soon!
