Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) Prevention Program 

Free Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Awareness Training

ICRA Awareness training courses to be offered in Rhinelander, Pewaukee, Eau Claire, Superior, Chippewa Falls, and La Crosse. 

This 8-hour ICRA Awareness training course, presented by the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, will outline protection methods and safe work practices for various trades and health care personnel working in occupied health care facilities. 

The trainings will cover topics such as:

  • What makes construction and renovation projects in an occupied health care facility unique.
  • The importance of hazardous material awareness.
  • The role of the ICRA team.
  • The difference between positive and negative air flow.
  • Special considerations for mold in health care facilities.

Infection preventionists and other health care personnel such as directors of nursing, environmental services staff, facility maintenance staff, as well as local and Tribal health department staff are encouraged to attend. There is no cost to attend this training and trainings include a light breakfast and lunch.
