Moderna Under 6 Shelf-Life Extension Approved 

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Moderna’s request for a 3-month shelf-life extension (SLE) for all Moderna under 6 years of age COVID-19 vaccines in the lots identified in the table below.

Inventory Management 

As we approach commercialization of COVID-19 vaccines in the fall, please remember to continue to manage your inventory, by checking expiration dates weekly, and disposing of expired vaccines. The manufacturers’ websites will continue to be available throughout the shelf-life of the U.S. government-provided vaccines.

Check vaccine expiration dates using the manufacturers’ online expiry checking tools:  

Remove all expired vaccines from inventory to prevent administration of expired vaccines. If expired vaccine is inadvertently administered:
