Moderna Under 6 Shelf-Life Extension Approved
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Moderna’s request for a 3-month shelf-life extension (SLE) for all Moderna under 6 years of age COVID-19 vaccines in the lots identified in the table below.
No other COVID-19 vaccine presentations have been approved for SLE during this recent approval process. Please record these lot numbers for reference in your inventory management practices.

Inventory Management
As we approach commercialization of COVID-19 vaccines in the fall, please remember to continue to manage your inventory, by checking expiration dates weekly, and disposing of expired vaccines. The manufacturers’ websites will continue to be available throughout the shelf-life of the U.S. government-provided vaccines.
