Vaccine Commercialization Transition Resources
Bridge Access Program for COVID-19 Vaccines and Treatments
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently put together a summary document about the Bridge Access Program for COVID-19 Vaccines and Treatments. The one-pager provides an overview of the program and answers basic questions about the purpose, eligibility, and CDC partnerships.
HHS Commercialization Transition Guide
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued guidance that provides direction to organizations in the COVID-19 Vaccination Program as the federal government stops distributing COVID-19 vaccines and they transition to commercialization.
The HHS guide issued on July 6 also includes information on exceptional orders after full-scale ordering closes; guidance on inventory and disposal management of vaccine and ancillary supplies; data reporting requirements; CDC programs for uninsured individuals; anticipated vaccine schedule for fall; and planning considerations.
Note: The HHS guide encourages vaccinators to place necessary vaccine orders prior to a cutoff date of August 3, 2023. However, to allow time for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) to process orders on behalf of vaccinators, the last day to place orders for Wisconsin vaccinators will be August 1, 2023.
