Call for Presenters for the 2023 FOCUS Conference!
The Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) is now accepting online proposals for 75 to 90-minute breakout sessions or keynote sessions for the 2023 FOCUS Conference. The deadline for submission is April 1, 2023. FOCUS 2023 is being held at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells on November 15 and 16, 2023.
FOCUS Conference 2023
FOCUS brings together provider associations, health and residential care providers, and Division of Quality Assurance staff to provide better care and services for Wisconsin elders and those with disabilities. FOCUS, which stands for, Forging Our Commitment to Ultimate Service, is a unique opportunity to teach, learn, and collaborate.
The Conference serves:
- Aging and Disability Resource Centers
- Assisted Living Facilities
- Facilities Serving Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
- Nursing Homes
- Division of Quality Assurance
The FOCUS Committee looks for proposals that apply to a variety of provider types. Proposals that apply to a specific provider type will also be considered but please note in your proposal which provider type(s) is your primary intended audience.
The conference is intended to be applicable to administrators, case/discharge managers, caregivers, dietitians/dietetic technicians, medical directors, nurses, pharmacists, quality improvement managers, risk managers, social workers, and therapists.
Please complete one online proposal form for each breakout or keynote session idea. The deadline for submission is April 1, 2023. The FOCUS 2023 planning committee will review all proposals and selected presenters will be notified by June 12, 2023. All proposals are selected through a collaborative review process completed by the conference planning committee. The planning committee is made up of staff of the Division of Quality Assurance and members of the provider community.
