Reporting for 2023 MCH Objectives
Change from REDCap to Alchemer
Dear local and Tribal public health partners,
We are grateful for the work you do you every day to promote maternal and child health around the state. We know the work you do is important, and we try to minimize the amount of reporting that we require for our grant activities, while also fulfilling our obligations to report on funded activities to our federal funder.
We have heard feedback from many of you that reporting in REDCap has been confusing or frustrating at times due to access issues and the multiple forms to be filled out. Based on this feedback, we have made the decision to transition reporting for 2023 MCH Objectives out of REDCap. Beginning with Quarter 1 of 2023, you will be asked to fill out a brief survey, hosted through the DHS survey platform, Alchemer, on a quarterly basis to document MCH activities that took place during the quarter for all MCH Objectives:
Any remaining reporting for 2022 should still be done in REDCap by January 31. Beginning on February 15, the REDCap projects will be sunset and you will not be able to enter new data.
Resources for 2023 reporting
A virtual information session will be held before Quarter 1 reporting is due. In this session we will walk through the basics of Alchemer and answer any questions related to reporting on this new platform. We will also be sharing static versions of your reporting forms as well as other resources to support this transition.
Reporting in Alchemer will not require any special account or access as REDCap did. Please ensure that your MCH contract administrator has updated contact information for staff in your agency working on the MCH objectives.
We are hopeful that this change will make MCH reporting easier and less stressful! We look forward to hearing your feedback as we try out this new reporting process.
