Awardees for Round 1 of the Wisconsin Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services Grant Selected
$17.3 million awarded to 69 applicants across Wisconsin
The first round of Medicaid home and community-based services grant applications and awards has successfully concluded, and all awardees have been selected. Over 717 applications were submitted requesting over $200 million in funding. A wide diversity and breadth of topics were represented in the applications. For the first round of awards, 69 applicant projects were selected, and over $17 million in project funding will be disbursed.
The awarded projects will impact multiple Medicaid programs and reach both urban and rural areas of the state. These projects propose creative ways to expand access to services and make a positive impact on the vital workers who care for older adults or those who have disabilities.
A second application round will open in February 2023; the exact date has not been determined. Sign up to receive email updates on upcoming funding opportunities. Additional resources to learn more about the application process can be found on the American Rescue Plan Act: Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Grants Supporting Quality and Innovation webpage.
