The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is pleased to announce the awardees of the Improving Routine Vaccination Uptake Through Community Outreach Grant Program.
This grant opportunity funds organizations to reduce health disparities in routine vaccines through outreach efforts.
The awardees are:
- City of West Allis Health Department
- Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay
- Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin
- Clark County Health Department
- ProHealth Care Foundation
- Chippewa Valley Free Clinic
- Hmong American Center /Hmong and Hispanic Communication Network
- Newcap Inc.
- Burmese Rohingya Community of Wisconsin
- The Lakes Community Health Center DBA Northlakes Community Clinic
- Gerald L Ignace Indian Health Center
DHS is proud to announce that grant recipients’ programs will reach 33 counties in the state. These grant recipients will leverage their relationships to the many diverse communities in the state and provide services to meet each communities’ individual needs.
In September of 2022, DHS announced the grant opportunity with funding coming from the Immunization Cooperative Agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Improving Routine Vaccination Uptake Through Community Outreach Grant Program has funded activities with a focus on routine childhood and adolescent vaccines.
