First round of awards focused on direct care workforce
Many awardees in the first wave have projects focused on improving and expanding the direct care workforce in Wisconsin. Reaching both urban and rural areas of the state, these projects use creative ways to make a positive impact on the vital workers who care for people who are older or have disabilities. Some examples of awarded projects include:
- Technology to improve the workforce shortages, including remote monitoring
- Creative recruitment and retention strategies
- Innovative and targeted marketing
Upcoming applicant status notifications
All applicants will be notified of their status over the next few weeks. More awards will be granted as DHS reviews all applications from the first round.
Those who are not awarded in the first round will have a chance to update their applications in the second round in February 2023. Tips for how to ensure applications meet criteria are coming soon.
