Attn: All Wisconsin Nursing Homes - WisCaregiver Careers Website is Live
WisCaregiver Careers is a workforce development program providing free CNA training, free CNA testing and $500 6-month retention bonuses. This week kicks off a statewide media campaign to bring visibility to qualified participants, including future certified nursing trainees and the growing number of employers who will hire them. The media campaign includes streaming radio and TV ads, as well as social media outreach and print ads in local newspapers across the state.
The media campaign is designed to drive traffic to the program’s new public facing website, WisCaregiver.com. The website supports an automated email system designed to connect interested job candidates to local participating employers. When a prospective trainee completes a registration form on the website, the individual will receive a confirmation email with a copy to all participating Employers in a 50-mile radius of the zip code provided. Employers should be ready to ensure these emails are followed up on as soon as possible since follow up contact will help trainees select a site to learn and work. Please note that only nursing homes are currently able to participate in WisCaregiver Careers due to limitations from our funding source. The program may expand to support the entire long-term care community in the future.
