WisCaregiver Careers Program Update

WisCaregiver Program To Expand: Employers Invited to Informational Webinar May 12

The WisCaregiver Careers program is currently recruiting qualified nursing homes to host new CNA training slots. Started in 2018, the program has been developed and managed through an ongoing partnership between the Wisconsin Health Care Association/Wisconsin Center for Assisted Living (WHCA/WiCAL), LeadingAge Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS).

A new phase of this program will expand its support to up-and-coming Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and participating nursing home employers through retention bonuses, employer reimbursement and success bonuses, and mentorships.

On May 12, WHCA/WiCAL and LeadingAge Wisconsin are hosting another Employer Kick-Off Webinar to detail more about the program and how to participate, their statewide media campaign, and CNA recruitment resources.

Pigorsch Media Design will be a featured guest to provide an overview of the upcoming media campaign and to collect employer feedback to build a toolkit to support trainee recruiting efforts in their communities.

More info about the upcoming webinar can be found at the webinar link: WisCaregiver Careers Webinar, Thursday, May 12, 2022, 8:30-9:30am

A recording of the previous webinar on April 14 can be found here. The May 12 webinar will also be recorded.
