Check Out This Resource for Communicating with People with Disabilities
About 1 in 4, or 61 million, U.S. adults report having some form of disability. Disability is part of the human experience, but sometimes people use words or phrases that are insensitive and do not promote understanding, dignity, and respect for people with disabilities. As we all work towards diversity, equity, and inclusion, here is an easy-to-use CDC resource on how person-first language is the best place to start when talking to a person with a disability.

December Awareness Campaign: Be an inFLUencer
We are currently in the middle of National Influenza Vaccination Week, which spans December 6 to 12.
Commonly known as the flu, the Influenza virus can be easily spread from person-to-person, with the majority of cases happening in the fall and winter.
The good news is that the flu is preventable by getting your yearly flu shot, washing your hands, covering your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough, and staying home when you are sick.
