Many residents in long-term care facilities are unnecessarily treated for suspected urinary tract infections. The unnecessary treatment can lead to consequences at the individual, facility, and population level. This presentation will provide an overview of the Wisconsin Long-Term Care UTI Toolkit. In addition, it will provide guidance on how long-term care facilities can use the toolkit to work together to improve resident evaluation and promote appropriate UTI treatment.
