August 23, 2021, DHS Webinar – Delta Variant and Wisconsin’s efforts to increase COVID-19 vaccination for Nursing Home Providers
Nursing Home providers and stakeholders are invited to attend a webinar on Monday, August 23, 2021, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., hosted by the Division of Quality Assurance (DQA). The webinar will feature a special session “Vaccine and the Delta Variant Facts” presented by Dr. Ryan Westergaard, Chief Medical Officer and State Epidemiologist, Bureau of Communicable Diseases, Division of Public Health, Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Get the latest facts about the Delta variant and the importance of increasing vaccinations among Wisconsinites. In addition, you will receive tips and strategies for talking with your staff and colleagues about the importance of getting vaccinated, as well as how to confront misinformation.
Information will also be provided regarding immunocompromised residents, visitation in nursing homes, nurse aide training and more.
