Wisconsin Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) Updates

P-EBT Update - June 18, 2021

The P-EBT Update provides information on Wisconsin's Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) Programs, School P-EBT and Pre-6 P-EBT. The U.S. Congress created P-EBT to provide food benefits to support families with children in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The P-EBT program is being administered by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in coordination with the Department of Public Instruction and the Department of Children and Families.

Pre-6 P-EBT Second Release This Weekend

Pre-6 Pandemic EBT (Pre-6 P-EBT), a program that provides benefits for families in FoodShare to buy food for their children under the age of 6 who were not enrolled in school during the 2020-2021 school year, will release its second round of benefits this weekend. Eligible families in all five regions of the state will receive benefits during this round, which covers the months of January, February, and March 2021. Families will see benefits on their QUEST cards on Sunday, June 20 and letters providing details about the benefits will be mailed to households next week.

The first round of Pre-6 P-EBT benefits at the end of May 2021 provided more than $25 million of food benefits to close to 62,000 Wisconsin families.
