Community Recovery Services: Newsletter, Summer 2021

In an effort to share information and stay connected, a Community Recovery Services (CRS) newsletter is emailed to you twice a year, once during the summer months and once during the winter months.

Do you have a colleague who should receive this newsletter and other email updates from the DHS CRS team? Share this message with them and encourage them to sign up for the DHS CRS provider email list.

Documentation oversight

We've completed our work on the documentation packets submitted this past February. Thank you for completing all the required documentation. You did an outstanding job capturing the strengths and preferences of the people you are serving. Counties with more than 10 participants will participate in the next document oversight period this August.

Monitoring process

We'll be contacting you soon regarding the 2021-2022 monitoring process. Our plan right now is to conduct these reviews virtually. In-person reviews may take place if the state of the COVID-19 pandemic allows. Refer to DCTS Action Memo 2019-15 for the documentation that will be requested during the monitoring process. Questions? Email us.

Welcome back, La Crosse County and Richland County

La Crosse County and Richland County are the latest counties to rejoin CRS. CRS is now available in 17 counties, with more than 150 people currently participating in the program.

Provider spotlights

The success of CRS depends on the dedication of direct care providers that support CRS participants in their recovery. We want to recognize these providers for their hard work in future newsletters. Have a provider spotlight to share? Email us.

County staff kudos

We want to recognize county CRS staff doing great work supporting the mission of CRS. We'll post kudos in future newsletters. Have a county staff shoutout to share? Email us.

Next quarterly meeting: July 21, 2021

The third quarter 2021 meeting is scheduled for July 21, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The agenda for this virtual meeting includes:

  • A presentation on the new DHS Person-Centered Planning training.
  • A presentation about the services available to CRS participants through the Department of Workforce Development's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
  • A presentation on the incident reporting process. (Do you have questions on the incident reporting process? Email us. We'll answer your questions during the meeting.)

There will also be time to celebrate successes and problem solve challenges. Watch your email for the Zoom link a few days before the meeting.
