Phase 1A Clarification
We wanted to take this opportunity to provide additional clarification on which populations are eligible for vaccine under Phase 1A. Under our Vaccine Phases and Eligibility page, we provide additional specificity regarding the definition of health care personnel, including which groups are included in the following categories:
- Direct care personnel
- Massage therapists
- Long-term care facility staff
- Social work, case management, Child Life staff
We also clarify that correctional staff are eligible for vaccine in addition to police and fire personnel.
This information can now be accessed on our website and we recommend vaccinators refer to this page to become familiar with populations eligible for Phase 1A. As more vaccine becomes available and we expand vaccine eligibility, our team will ensure the COVID-19 vaccine phases and eligibility page is updated with the most current and specific information.
