$86 Million in Funding to Support Vaccine Administration and COVID-19 Response

This bulletin is being sent to local health officers, tribal health directors, public health nurses and staff, and key DPH staff.

Today Governor Tony Evers and the Department of Health Services will announce $86 million in funding for local and tribal health departments. Sourced from the CDC’s Epidemiology and Lab Capacity grant, the funds will support the COVID-19 response through testing, contact tracing, surveillance, and vaccine administration. Allocation of funding will be based on population of jurisdiction, and allocations are currently available on PCA Portal COVID-19 Resources. Please see the $32 Million Allocation spreadsheet and $54.2 Million Allocation spreadsheet under the Administrative topic.

There is a great deal of important work to do in 2021 in order to bring our communities through and out of this pandemic. This funding is in recognition of the vital role local and tribal health agencies play across the state.

Thank you for all the work you do to protect the health and safety of Wisconsinites.
