60-Day Extension of Emergency Rule 2029 approved through March 7, 2021

The Department of Health Services (DHS) has been granted a 60-day extension on Emergency Rule 2029 (EmR 2029), relating to certification of programs for training and testing nurse aides. At this time, EmR 2029 has been extended through March 7, 2021.

If you currently run an Emergency Training Program (ETP) or employ temporary aides, both allowed by the provisions included in EmR 2029, you do not need to do anything at this time and may continue to train student nurse aides and train/employ temporary nurse aides.

A timeline detailing important dates based on this extension may be found in the PowerPoint presentation used during the October 28, 2020, webinar located on the COVID-19 Nurse Aide webpage.
