Program Details

Working with the Wisconsin Grocers Association (WGA), the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) will reimburse retailers the cost of any equipment they purchased to accept FoodShare payments wirelessly since March 15, 2020. This equipment allows retailers to offer remote ordering with curbside payment, decreasing the risk of COVID-19 infection for both customers and retail workers by limiting extended person-to-person interactions.

The WGA will be operating this reimbursement program. To apply, visit www.wisconsingrocers.com/POSReimbursement and have the following information available:

  • USDA Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) Number
  • Business Name
  • Business Address
  • Business Email
  • Federal Tax ID
  • Copy of receipts/paid invoices/proofs of purchase for equipment, dated no earlier than March 15, 2020
  • A signed and dated IRS Form W-9 (available at https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf

This program is supported by funds from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Applications will be accepted until funds allocated for the program are exhausted or on December 22, whichever comes first. Retailers interested in reimbursement should visit WGA for more details at www.wisconsingrocers.com/POSReimbursement.

This program is in addition to the opportunity announced on December 7 that enables approved FoodShare-participating retailers to apply to receive new wireless equipment.  More information on this program and the application can be found at https://totilpay.com/wisconsinebt/. This program also ends on December 22, 2020.
