N95 Fit Testing Needs for Nursing Home Staff
The Department of Health Services (DHS) is exploring options for nursing home providers to obtain N95 respirator fit testing for their staff.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, An N95 respirator is recommended for use by healthcare personnel to assist in controlling the spread of COVID-19. Although respirators are available, the kits to perform fit testing are in short demand.
In order to determine the need for fit testing kits, and to prioritize any future distribution, DHS is urging all nursing home providers to complete this SHORT SURVEY no later than December 18, 2020.
