WEDSS Training Announcement

Merging Not A Case COVID-19 Disease Incidents

With the advent of COVID-19, a very large number of duplicate COVID-19 disease incidents have been created in WEDSS. Large numbers of duplicate disease incidents can cause confusion when details are split among different records. Therefore, we are strongly encouraging local health departments to take time to merge duplicate disease incidents.

These sessions cover the process of merging duplicate Not A Case COVID-19 disease incidents.

It is only necessary to attend one session and there is no need to register.

Session Times

Tuesday       12-1-20   2 p.m.– 3 p.m.     Merging Not A Case COVID-19 Disease Incidents

Wednesday  12-2-20  10 a.m.–11 a.m.   Merging Not A Case COVID-19 Disease Incidents

Join a training session.

We previously held training on merging duplicate patients, and a recording is available. Since patient merges are required before disease incidents can be merged, please review the recording if you were unable to attend one of those sessions.

Please note that these sessions only cover the merging of Not A Case COVID-19 disease incidents. Additional sessions will be scheduled in the future for merging other types of COVID-19 disease incidents, such as Confirmed cases. Please email the WEDSS Team with any questions.

Regards,

The WEDSS Team
