WIR/VFC OPEN FORUM:
The Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) and VFC units will hold an open forum session to give you an opportunity to ask questions that you may have about VFC, annual re-enrollment, vaccine ordering, WIR, WIR reports, etc. Participation is not required but is being offered as another tool for you to connect with WIR and VFC staff from the Immunization Program.
These open forum sessions are held once a month. The next one is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, from 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
Please note, you will need a computer with speakers or headphones in order to participate. There will not be a conference number to call in.

Temporary Change in FedEx and UPS Deliveries:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, both FedEx and UPS have temporarily adjusted their signature guidelines for all shipments within the United States. This means that signatures requirements may no longer be needed for UPS and FedEx vaccine deliveries. Drivers should still capture the recipient’s name by entering it manually, unless there is a signature listed on file, in which case the package may be left with no recipients name entered.
While they are striving to maintain proper procedures during this time, there is the chance for procedural lapses. This may cause vaccine orders to be left unattended at offices or delivered outside of hours. In order to prevent the loss of vaccine, we ask that you verify your delivery hours in WIR and practice extra vigilance when expecting an order delivery. Please routinely check drop-off locations, allow ample time for your vaccine orders, and ensure you have sufficient inventory on hand to cover if there is a delay.
If you have started locking your office doors, please post signs that are highly legible and in an easy place for the driver to see, instructing the driver what to do with the package (for example, knock on the door or leave the package on the doorstep).
Keep The Immunization Program Updated!
If your clinic's VFC Primary or Backup Coordinator changes, please be sure to notify the VFC Program. This can be done by completing the VFC Change of Information form and updating contact information in WIR. All new VFC Coordinators are also required to complete the New Coordinator Training. The information for the form and the training can be found on the VFC website: Click on "Trainings, Resources and Forms for VFC Providers" in the gray box at the lower right of the page.
Reopening?
If your clinic closed temporarily and is reopening, please be sure to contact the Immunization Program so that your clinic can be reactivated. You can send an email to VFC@WI.GOV with this information. Include your VFC PIN, and the date your clinic is reopening.
