COVID-19 testing for Central Wisconsin Center staff was conducted by the Wisconsin National Guard on June 4 and June 5. No staff reported a positive test result from this testing. Residents have been tested by medical staff. There have been no positive test results since the first one we reported.
A staff person reported a positive test result this week (June 14).
Infection prevention and control measures remain in place. All staff are wearing face masks. Staff working with residents who are not able to wear face masks wear both a face mask and eye protection. Staff are screened for COVID-19 symptoms and exposure before each shift. Residents are screened daily for signs of respiratory illness and group activities are limited.
We are developing plans to reinstate services and activities that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. All federal and state infection prevention and control guidelines will be followed when these services and activities resume. Updates on the reinstatement of these services and activities will be shared in the coming weeks.
