COVID-19 Update: Most FoodShare Interviews Suspended Until May 31, 2020

In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is temporarily changing program rules to help protect health and safety. This includes suspending most FoodShare interviews for April and May 2020.

FoodShare applicants may not need to complete an interview with their income maintenance agency as long as they provide all the information necessary to process their application. This includes providing enough information to confirm their identity and meet verification requirements. Information will be confirmed through data exchanges to the extent possible, and agencies may still need to contact applicants to clarify information as needed.

Applicants who only provide a name, address, and signature when they apply will still need to complete an interview.
