October 8, 2019, Consumer Town Hall & Assisted Living Forum – Mark Your Calendars!

The Bureau of Assisted Living will host two beneficial sessions for the Fox Valley Area Community and Assisted Living providers. The first session is the Consumer Town Hall and the second session is the Assisted Living Forum. The events will take place at the:

Fox Valley Technical College – Appleton Campus
Room A170 ABC
1825 N. Bluemound Drive
Appleton, WI 54912

Consumer Town Hall
The Assisted Living Consumer Town Hall offers an informational session for individuals and families choosing assisted living now or in the near future. The event will feature a panel of members from the assisted living industry, including the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), among others. Attendees will be introduced to the variety of assisted living options offered in the State of Wisconsin and have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of what types of services are provided in assisted living settings. This event is not intended for Assisted Living providers. Assisted Living providers are encouraged to share and promote this informative event with individuals they serve and others who may benefit. The Bureau of Assisted Living thanks you for your efforts to foster a greater understanding of assisted living, funding and ensuring quality services. The session will be held from 9:30 -11:00 a.m.

Assisted Living Forum
Assisted Living Providers and stakeholders are invited to attend the upcoming Assisted Living Forum. Topics to be discussed include the following:

  • Youth Apprenticeship Program
  • Nurse Delegation in Assisted Living
  • Plan Review in Assisted Living
  • Caregiver Misconduct
  • Regulatory Issues & Solutions
  • Communicating with the Bureau

The general sessions will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Please visit the Assisted Living Forum website to obtain a copy of the agenda. Submit any questions you would like addressed to Alissa Iwanski no later than Friday, October 4, 2019. If your question(s) pertains to a specific assisted living provider type (CBRF, AFH, RCAC, ADC), please be sure to include this information in your email.
